UKETS, is a leading cross-speciality group dedicated to advancing endovascular practice to address the learning needs for all specialities that undertake endovascular procedures. Compromising leaders from vascular surgery, interventional radiology, and cardiology, UKETS is the course that its leaders wish they could have taken when they were first starting. The group works on the three core pillars of safe access, safe navigation, and safe closure, and whilst the specialities may differ the skills required remain the same.
VP have been supporting the UKETS team for many years now, working with the core UKETS team to deliver a high level of speciality training, blending foundational principles with practical skills development over two days dedicated to both foundations in endovascular practice and basic endovascular skills.
The recent 2023 event held in Newcastle at the National Discovery Museum showcased the efficacy of this partnership. Over two days participants immersed themselves in a curriculum designed to instil proficiency in endovascular techniques. From safe access to meticulous navigation and seamless closure, attendees gained valuable insights under the expert guidance of the faculty.
We attended with a team from across our therapy areas to support simulators showing technique and best practice skills, from utilising our Mentice and layercaseTM simulators to talking through our aortic model. We also packed plenty of informative presentations and material to enrich the learning experience and foster a deeper understanding of device properties and procedural nuances. We’re thrilled to have played a role in this transformative event and are looking forward to continuing our support over the coming years. The future of endovascular training appears brighter than ever, by harnessing collective expertise and fostering a culture of collaboration.
